Sarah Chandra

Sarah was born in Canberra and transitioned from a career in accounting to social work. She always felt a strong desire to work more directly with people rather than being confined to a desk crunching numbers. After completing a Master of Social Work at Melbourne University, she gained extensive experience working in housing, homelessness, and various community organizations that support children and families.

Sarah really enjoys the opportunity to journey with children and families to support them through challenging times and celebrating their achievements. She has a special interest in trauma-informed practice and currently works with primary school children who are disengaged from their education.

Sarah is passionate about learning different cultures, demonstrated by her involvement in a local Aboriginal singing group.

Her dedication to working with diverse communities is evident in her efforts to empower individuals to discover and embrace their strengths. She maintains a calm, gentle, kind and strengths-based approach in all her interactions.

Sarah is also an animal lover. Since Bambi joined her family, Bambi has become a constant companion.

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new venues, discovering new cafes (as an avid coffee enthusiast), and playing music at home.

She looks forward to meeting and supporting you and your family through Canine Comprehension.

Bambi

Bambi

Bambi is a fun-loving, caring and sweet toy poodle. Born in June 2023, she recently celebrated her first birthday. Her name was inspired by the Disney movie 'Bambi' because when she runs fast, she reminds people of a prancing deer.

Often mistaken for a teddy bear because she loves to cuddle, Bambi enjoys following sniff trails, especially if they lead to socks! She loves meeting new people and dogs when she is out and about and loves going on walks, especially if there is sand involved. She's not too keen on water but might dip a paw in if she's feeling brave.

Bambi loves collecting sticks during her walks, often bringing them back as a 'souvenir' from her adventures. Her sweet and gentle nature instantly makes others feel at ease. And brings happiness to those around her.  Sarah believes Bambi possesses great attributes to support students because she is very friendly and calm. Bambi also shows others that you can be brave, no matter your size or age!
