With over 15 years of experience in early childhood settings, Mini brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role. She takes pride in supporting children with diverse abilities, working closely with families and healthcare professionals to ensure every child receives the best education and care possible.

As a devoted mother, Mini is deeply committed to creating a learning environment where all children feel supported, motivated, and valued. Her genuine enthusiasm for helping students develop social skills, emotional resilience, and mental health strategies shines through in everything she does.

Mini’s journey into the world of animal-assisted therapy and activities began after completing a Certificate III in Community Services. Her dedication to helping at-risk children and youth led her to volunteer in various roles and settings, where she witnessed the remarkable benefits of these interventions. The experience ignited her desire to combine her love for dogs with her passion for education.

Her dream came true when she found her perfect role as a mentor for Canine Comprehension. Mini is delighted to be part of a team that brings joy and positivity to young people’s lives through the magic of animal-assisted education.

Mini’s warm and caring nature creates a nurturing and uplifting atmosphere that makes every student feel cherished and empowered. Her infectious happiness and dedication make her an exceptional mentor, ready to positively impact the lives of those she guides.

Josie

Meet Josie, a clever, funny, and delightfully cheeky young miniature poodle. Josie absolutely loves people! She thrives on play, pats, and cuddles, though sometimes she can feel a little shy with new faces or uncertain around unfamiliar noises. With gentle support (and plenty of treats), she warms up quickly and shows her sweet, confident self.

Josie is excited to join Canine Comprehension because it means spending her days with students, playing games, learning new things, and offering care and comfort. With her human, Mini, by her side, she’s ready to come and meet you. She can’t wait to learn with you!
